Hey everybody, we're fundraising for safer and cleaner streets in Duluth!
We want to help concerned community members collect data, document their problem, and build momentum for proven traffic calming tools.
We also want to have a physical impact by cleaning dirty, and debris filled bike lanes!

When the Blatnik Bridge was built, Hammond Avenue’s boulevard came out for cars. When Superior rebuilt it, Mayor Paine asked: why not bring back the beautiful street we used to have? So they did. 🌳
E-bikes give older residents joy, help families build wealth, and reconnect people with community. Our roads should reflect this reality, not 1985. A nice future is possible - we just have to choose it.

Walking on this pedestrian-only path through Washington Square and realized how rare these dedicated walkways are. No traffic, direct route, peaceful journey. Duluth's forgotten walking network could be the key to making our city more connected if we valued these spaces again.
Meet Val, who values the outdoor walking time their Denfeld-to-downtown bus commute adds to their day, but crossing Grand Ave safely can be a challenge.
Tips for new riders? Start with a simple trip when time isn't tight.

While I-35's cut-and-cover design through downtown and East Hillside has won awards, many ignore the freeway's impact just east of the tunnels. Just a few poorly designed pedestrian bridges are available to access our greatest asset by walking or rolling.

The most talked about disconnect is I-35's impact on connectivity between Downtown Duluth and Canal Park, two of Duluth's largest economic and tourism centers. Curb tight sidewalks and dangerous crossings await anyone looking to cross. I-35 harms our tourism industry more than it helps it.

A big one many Duluthians forget: Highway 53 was plowed vertically through Lincoln Park, destroying hundreds of homes and splitting the neighborhood in two. Did Duluth recoup the damage this highway expansion wrought? 🤔

Another: Hwy 53 / 21st Ave W splits and pollutes Lincoln Park, a community where nearly 20% of households don't own vehicles. Unfortunately, this overpass was recently reconstructed as part of the Twin Ports Interchange project.
