If I put that into my trusty calculator, it looks like it would take roughly eleventy billion years to maintain order in Iran.

I've been fascinated by the VIX (which ostensibly measures expected market volatility) during Trump 2.0. Except for "Liberation Day," the VIX has largely been ho-hum and even below much of the Biden term. Just a total misread of the actual stakes at play (and the players, frankly)

Especially when there are also now videos of Trump saying "The Republicans can end this at any time (by ending the filibuster)." They got so used to just barreling forward on everything that they haven't thought through any contingencies or Plan Bs.
