It's getting dusty again
The French singing La Marseillaise in a nuclear submarine base is deeply symbolic.

This is an emotionally paradoxical situation for me. I would strongly dislike seeing Trump claim success in Iran. At the same time, I very much want the Iranian regime to fall, which would in practice constitute precisely that kind of success.
How is that supposed to work?
New Artemis schedule:
Artemis III mission will take place in mid-2027 in Earth orbit, to test docking between the Orion capsule and the lander.

That said, I remain rather pessimistic. The challenges in question concern what economists classify as global public goods and global common pool resources. By definition, these domains are characterized by non-excludability and, in the case of common pool resources, rivalry in consumption.

It would be highly desirable for this discussion to gain real traction. At present, it remains underreported, particularly with regard to the upper atmosphere, which is rarely addressed with the urgency it warrants.
