Very cool. I've read most of Lovecraft and I like the unobjectionable bits of his work, including most of the big Cosmic Horror ideas. I also really enjoyed CJ Henderson's Lovecraft riffs. But yeah, old-school Cosmic Horror is a fun playground to work in.

...But British people, if you're gonna go so far as to put an "OW" vowel sound into a pronunciation like "GOW-duh" why the heck wouldn't you just go all the way and lead off with an "H" consonant? Just consistently nonsensical to me.

Watching another @sortedfood.bsky.social video and UK pronunciation continues to baffle me. Americans are uncultured swine across an entire ocean so us pronouncing "Gouda" as "GOO-duh" while the Dutch say "HOW-duh" makes some sense, especially as the "OO" vowel is objectively easier than "OW"...

Yeah, most of the time YOU need to take the initiative to reach out. And when I do, most folks treat me better than I think I deserve. Sometimes though, you get someone who makes you feel like an imposition for wanting to reach out and tell them how awesome they are/how much they mean to you.

...And I think there's some folks of a certain stature who don't really realize the high regard they're held in by some folks. And I've been luckier than most writer/commissioners. But even so, I feel like some folks don't realize the ability they'd have to make people's day or blow their minds.

This might just sound "thirsty" or "notice me senpai," but even as an oldster in Size/Expansion Kink, there are figures for me who I've followed for ages and sometimes Like or ReShare something of mine. But I've not really gotten a comment or a chance to DM with directly. It would mean a ton...

Maybe I should clarify. I get that they throw curveballs, fuck with the players, and reward lateral thinking. But they generally do it cleverly. Just sticking a pulldown with extra instructions high up and behind them with no veiled hint to go looking for such a thing feels lame and uncreative.
