Nice pick. I liked the Thelin character and would have wanted to see him again. As a fellow fan already mentioned, at least he returned in one of the "Myriad Universes" books.

Nice pick. Oh, that is a creepy image, especially when I used to watch syndicated TOS from 12midnight - 1am.

An excellent topic for discussion. I look forward to reading everyone's responses.

And I like the design of March's calendar prompts, that's one of my favorite Data/Geordi's Powerpoint templates on TNG πŸ˜‰

Yes, that's correct. I just replied to your question - our messages were crossing each other on the Internet. πŸ˜€

These monthly calendars of Trek prompts are created by @shelfnerds.bsky.social who is the host of these discussions. They are a fun way for fans to chat about Star Trek. The calendar for March focuses on parallels and alternates in Star Trek.

That's great - a very quick and perceptive observation. Finally, after many years, SNW incorporated that theory into canon.

"The Squire of Gothos" is one of my favorite TOS episodes.

Yes, I have enjoyed reading the Star Trek novels and am glad I rediscovered them around 6 years ago at the start of the pandemic. While they are not canon, they do provide more details and fill in many gaps in the TV shows.

I suspect Captain Janeway wasn't looking forward to a visit from DTI when she returned back to Earth. πŸ˜€

Yes, I remember he was very nice. I vaguely recall he was doing some Greatest American Hero poses for fellow fans who were taking his picture.

Artwork for the 227th episode of TrekRanks featuring the "Top 5 Scotty Episodes." Images include the TrekRanks logo in the upper left corner and an image of Scotty crawling through a Jefferies Tube (top center).

In the center, split on the left and the right, are two images of Scotty and Kirk from "The Doomsday Machine," the one on the left is Scotty pointing at a control he is jury-rigged for Kirk, and the one of the right is him with his arms in the air telling him "poof." (Classic, Scotty!)

As always, to keep you guessing, remember that the episodes reflected in photos here include some choices that were featured in this episode of TrekRanks, some choices that were maybe mentioned in our "Secondary Systems" section of the show, and some choices that weren't mentioned at all.

NEW! We celebrate the miracle worker on a special TrekRanks. It’s the β€œTop 5 Scotty Episodes,” one of Trek's most popular characters, portrayed across TOS, the Kelvin Timeline & SNW by James Doohan, Simon Pegg & Martin Quinn. The haggis is in the fire for sure!

#NoBodyTrek Day 26: Non-DeLancie Q - "Q-Squared" by Peter David

In this TNG novel, author Peter David builds on the theory that Trelane is also a member of the Q Continuum. This is another excellent Trek novel by Peter David.

Five authors I’ve read at least five books by:

Agatha Christie
David Mack
Christopher L. Bennett
Dayton Ward
Dan Brown

Since most of the books I've read have been Star Trek books, most of the authors on this list are from that franchise.

I suspect the actors like those types of stories. It gives them a chance to use a wider range of acting.

Yes, I think Geordi rose the fastest in terms of rank from when we first saw him to his most recent appearance. I think he was Lt.(j.g) at the start of TNG and was Commodore by PIC S3.

Yes, kind of like that episode ("The Bonding") in which Worf befriends the son of one of his subordinates, accepts him into Worf's house and we don't hear about him again. πŸ˜‰

#NoBodyTrek Day 24: Time - Department of Temporal Investigations

When Federation/Starfleet personnel conduct time travel or affect a timeline, whether accidentally or on purpose, they should expect a visit from a Department of Temporal Investigations agent (or two).

I admit Dan Brown is also on my version of this list. I've read all his Robert Langdon books and enjoyed them, especially his first two, "The DaVinci Code" and "Angels and Demons". I ended up getting the Special Illustrated Editions of those because I wanted to see the visuals.
