I joined with members of the Maryland delegation, Pastor Bill Humphrey, and faith leaders from congregations across Baltimore for a press conference to highlight the recent events in Minnesota involving ICE and the Department of Homeland Security.
Holding people for days or weeks in a facility meant only for short-term processing, and packing them into overcrowded rooms with no beds, is cruel and inhumane.
This video reflects a pattern of ICE disregarding basic human dignity and failed leadership at DHS—which is exactly why I voted last week against the DHS funding bill and exactly why I signed on to start impeachment proceedings against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
