Ebay prices have ballooned to ~$450 plus delivery and tax! Big part of why I was so surprised to get this one.

I snagged a Ryzen 5800x3D off craigslist for under $300! I was certain it would be a scam, but no, was just a guy selling parts from his kid's system after upgrading to AM5.

VR stuff runs SO much better now, and the crashes from before -seem- to be gone, so far...

Designing and 3d-printing my own project parts is remarkably satisfying.

I want to run an old-school AD&D 2nd edition game.

With plenty of tweaks and home-brew, sure, but that was the D&D of my youth, and I never got to play it at an actual table! The style and -mood- of the game is so different from the modern versions.

A jury duty summons, for the week of BLFC, delivered *now*? Yeeeah no, that's not happening.

In-shell peanuts are generally better for the birds, but they'd make SUCH a mess and I'm worried the neighbors would be even more annoyed than they probably already are. xD

$4 a pound now for bulk peanuts at the local store?! With how many more crows are visiting now, this is getting out of hand.

The idea of *buying* someone else's character makes even less sense to me. Getting to pretend all the old art is now you? Is there some hope that all the character's friends will become yours too? Or is it just buying the right to commission whatever new thing using that character that you want?

This "final exam" event in Blue Prince brought back a kind of childhood classroom anxiety that I hadn't felt in *years!* @_@

We're on cable, yeah. Apparently they re-provisioned the neighborhood here to use something called high-split, which doesn't work with our existing docsis 3.1 modem.

Much as I hate using Comcast's equipment, I switched to their modem and suddenly upstream is 300 Mbps.

Seriously??? This is yet another reminder of why I hate dealing with Comcast internet. There's just no excuse.

Overload is the one created by the developers of Descent 1&2, nearly all of them got back together for the modernization. It's excellent! And absolutely is Descent 4 in spirit.

Yeah, the level editor was a bit like AutoCAD. Functional, but definitely -much- harder to use than the editors for Doom. Even still, my multiplayer maps folder between both games is filled with hundreds of levels!

Oh, it absolutely did! I was in a league with a whole bunch of people specifically focused around playing Descent 2 multiplayer online. And I knew of at least two others, we'd sometimes do little tournaments and everything.
Rangers, Pyro Pilots Guild, Wildcards, the ladders, good times. :)

This answer is a bit flippant, but when our minds dream up the self-image of a dragon, *nothing* human would or could possibly ever be good enough.

But OTHERWISE yeah. Shame is both a tool and a weapon, utilized for profit and control by people against others for millennia.

I get these kinds of dreams all the time, and I'm convinced it's part of why I always wake up so exhausted! >_> Constructing those elaborate dream-scapes has to be draining.
