Why does this list not include the scores from the U.S. Figure Skating Championships? Amber Glenn, Chock & Bates and Alyssa Liu all have higher scores than listed here.

Pat Fitzgerald re-enters coaching on an 11-game losing streak, having never defeated Ohio State and with only 1 win over Michigan (1-9).

His last coaching win on American soil was Oct. 16, 2021 … 21-7 over Rutgers.

In 6 of the last 8 games he coached, Northwestern scored fewer than 10 points.

If Florida and Penn State were serious about Fitzgerald, he would have been announced as their head coach before today. I’m skeptical.

Horrible decision. Hasn’t coached major college football in 3 years, and certainly not in the current portal / NIL environment. In 3 of his final 4 years in Evanston he went 1-8 in the B1G and 3-9, 3-9 and 1–11 overall. Not a record worthy of a $33 million buyout for Smith and whatever he’ll get.
