Even with these votes her deficit was too big to overcome. Talarico had been over-performing all over the state and especially with Latino voters (40% of Texas), and Crockett had been under-performing in places she needed.

Talarico ran a grassroots campaign with boots on the ground, and she had no campaign manager.

I’m a Texan who voted for Talarico because he has been an unwavering advocate for our LGBTQ - especially transgender - kids here in Texas. Loudly and for years. He was doing this while most Dems through them under the bus for votes. Parents of these kids don’t think we voted for “comfort”.

So glad she did this. It is the best for Texans (me!) and the country to unify now, especially for the down-ballot races here in Texas too. Eyes on the prize 💙.

Too many outstanding votes in Dallas with the bullshit so no one will call it, but she can’t make up the deficit - she’s under-performing in places she needed, even Dallas on the Early Vote numbers. Talarico wins. I live in Texas :).
