Finally finished my timelapse of the lunar eclipse under the aurora in Fairbanks, Alaska! Check out the massive substorm turning the ground green in front of the eclipse, too!
This is one of my favorite timelapses I have captured!

I sit on my porch a lot, from that vantage point I can see how many people driving by have their phones in hand like a security blankie. It's infuriating.
Yes.
And sadly, probably quite a few who don't even come close.
A pair of house sparrows sit on a wire. The male is puffed up and looking agitated, while the female sits calm and unbothered.
Every. Single. Birb. is out and has an opinion this morning.
Yeah that tracks!
"He does such a good job!"
"I couldn't possibly vote for someone who *gasp* rides a bike!"
$18 at the Superstore. That's about as cheap as I've ever seen em.
I do consider myself pretty lucky.
I hope you manage to dodge all the yuck for a good long while, and may you sleep at least 7, 8 hour solid sleeps in a row.
You're talking to a woman who took advantage of the holiday sale where you got 100 for $50?
And ate almost all of them herself.
I've got a problem, man...
No, YOU bought the second large bag of Mini Eggs of this blessed egg-shaped chocolate treat season already.
Cuz it sure as hell wasn't me.

I love not being sick. Therefore I wear a mask.
Just when I think, 'maybe I could let my guard down' another client comes in hacking up a storm, or a coworker calls in sick for a week.
And I keep masking.
"oh yeah, real bad cold going around" that lasts for 3 weeks and has you bedridden? Yeah sure, a "cold". π
Meanwhile I haven't been sick since 2021. Because I wear a mask inside. ππΌ

If someone could yank Mercury out of the microwave, I'd be eternally grateful. Cuz I am not having a good week. π€¬
When the bike shop staff recognize your bike parked in the neighbourhood.
Either the staff are awesome, attentive people, or I've been at the shop far too much this year.
(It's actually both)
No attempts on my life by Autowa this morning, and it is sunny.
Gotta takes the wins as they come.
Yup, and nothing like that hit of adrenaline after screaming at some asshole who almost killed you.
Tonight's ride from work to group ride was perhaps one of the most jam-packed driver bullshit experiences I've ever had on Scott.
If I'd been riding at my usual speed, I woulda been right-hooked out of existence by some shithead who didn't slow down before turning.

Not specifically, I just don't want to support faceless corporations, I'd rather support small biz roasters.
They also changed their bean bag sizes to way too small, or way too big, and upped the prices. That was the final straw for me.
Ah, well, they look great, nonetheless!
Yes!
But may I suggest more of a thumb for better dexterity?
A red and black coffee mug with a very large chip extending down about 3cms from the lip.
RIP #1 mug. My favourite mug for 15 years.
This is the last shred of Bridgehead I still had, now that I've stopped buying their beans, and going to the cafes.
Kinda feels "end of an era" ish.

It's getting very smelly (and not just dog poop, there's like, a bad dirt smell I've been noticing) this week. Plows pushed snow back and exposed mud along Scott north side MUP, and now all I can smell on the way to work is "gross".
Right now is pretty good cuz it's been dry for a few days, so what's melted is actually quite nice.
It's dirty and salty as hell tho. My bike looks like a can of white spray paint exploded on it.
That's only slightly more expensive than OcT twice a day.
Our local driving friends would see no incentive to leave the car at home and ride with the plebs. (Nor could the system handle it)
E-bike of the future right there! π
Being a passenger is hard.
But I feel like I could adapt.
