Delighted to say that I’m joining Birmingham City University next month as a full time Lecturer in Filmmaking. Today I’ve been getting a little head start with a cheeky campus visit.

Bring on Birmingham and working with some future and developing filmmakers.

Does anybody have advice as to how to remember Bluesky? Moving from the other app to here has done something to my brain where I literally forget about this app and posting on it. But when I’m here I enjoy it.

At this point Drive To Survive is so fabricated with out of sequence editing, misleading narratives and staged discussion scenes, it’s less F1 documentary and more Keeping Up With The Car-dashians.

But, he’s been a full time teacher, but he had to take over mid-term because the predecessor was not delivering the syllabus how the school wanted. How far can we stretch this metaphor?

Lawson is one of those outliers. I wouldn’t say he’s a rookie because of having half a season full time plus varied guest drives before that.

Wading into the @dirtysidepod.bsky.social debate. If it’s your first full season of F1 you are a rookie in my own opinion. You’ve not had the day to day of being an F1 driver which includes engineering side, media, improving your car because it’s your car etc etc. Ollie Bearman is 100% a rookie.

Met the resident Careers office cat, so double win!

Week 3 out of 11 of teaching at Birkbeck, University of London complete. What a brilliant experience it has been so far. The students have been really motivated and engaged. Next week they pitch the projects that they will be doing as the final assessment. Excited to see what they bring.

Remember when you had a Nokia and how little you had to charge it? I’m pretty sure I have a 3210 that’s been left powered up in a drawer since 2002 which still has around 52% battery left.

Last year I worked hard to pivot the paid part of my career as a content producer into writing and teaching. And this year has started strong...I'm now Associate Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London, and I'm just waiting on the contract for my first non-fiction book deal.
