It is, of course, all gender.

We're doing War-as-Gender-Affirming-Care. Some men get hair transplants, some buy a too-expensive car, Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth accidentally-on-purpose tank the global economy killing thousands in an idiot war.

That said, my favorite podcast is the only one I know of that has incorporated a visual element (PowerPoint presentation) from the very beginning, so releasing on YouTube just made sense for them.

I think most people "watching" podcasts, Gen Z or not, are doing other things too. The only reason they're "watching" it is that they found whatever podcast on YouTube through its algorithm. It's treated the same way as if it were audio-only, it's just accessed through a video platform.

I really like Reece's nuanced take here. I agree there's a lot of potential for properly regulated robotaxis in combination with robustly planned public transit and pedestrian and cycling infrastructure to dramatically improve the efficiency of our cities (and cut down our carbon footprint too!)

I used to be a constant music-listener while walking or taking transit, but nowadays I almost never do. It's fun to be a part of the public!

Same when I can't get out to Costco for something needed on short notice, but it's been surprising how little that need actually comes up. Maybe twice in the last year

MPD does not operate these cameras or maintain the limited footage they collect.

These are not surveillance cameras in the sense you think they are and are statutorily restricted from being used for enforcement of any laws besides speed limit compliance and traffic signal compliance

I absolutely think the people of Iran deserve better. But I don't think we can give them better.

I'm used to occasionally seeing Canadian license plates in the U.S. but I just saw a license plate for San Luis Potosi on I-94 and think that's the first time I've ever seen one from Mexico

I didn't think it was possible for there to be someone else in Saint Paul who's from Federal Way, this is crazy

I live in Minnesota and I want the federal government to stop trying to kill us. And hurt us. I want them to stop attacking us.

It sucks.

We’re just trying to live our lives and take care of each other and we don’t deserve all this.

I kid around sometimes here but I’m not kidding now.

If I've learned anything from doing school patrols due to the surge, it's:

1) Too many of you dumbasses are texting and driving way too fast around elementary schools.
2) Kids just love waving at people who wave back.

So I went down to Winona last summer hoping to see it, and it had already been taken away unknown to me, BUT the museum is still a really incredible visit and worth the trip anyway

I love to see that multiple cities along the proposed route want this corridor studied. How nice would it be to take the the train to Northfield? Des Moines? Kansas City?

Looks like DID ought to expand their "premium" service area so more of Washington is included: cdn2.sportngin.com/attachments/...

Not downtown they don't, where the DID handles sidewalk snow removal impressively well

We may soon have 70 million boomers too old to drive, too car-dependent to stop. As the baby boomer bubble pushes into its eighties, we are driving into a demographic wall.

The demographic reality is unrelenting. What happens when you have 70 million baby boomers pushing 80 and still driving big SUVs on North American roads? A whole lot of accidents waiting to happen. lloydalter.substack.com/p/we-may-soo...

This may be the most important meeting between Duluth and St Paul since the completion of the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad in 1870.

From the post: Near the end of our conversation, May reflected on language: "You hear the word 'neighbor' here a lot. I think that word has started to mean something different." Francis connected that shift to a deeper kinship. "Within the Native community they use the word relative. These are our relatives. It's this patterning of kinship. We belong to each other now in a way that we weren't sure we could count on before, and Minneapolis is forever changed."

Amid Trump crackdown on Chinese students, one US university appears to block them altogether Purdue says no ban on Chinese students exists, but reportedly rescinded dozens of offers after warnings from legislators

I want us to understand this in the context of these same people killed affirmative action using Chinese-American plaintiffs because they said helping Black people was discriminatory against Asian Americans and anti-merit. Once again: it was never about that. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Better frequency on more routes is the best way to make NE and Saint Paul trips reliably faster, because transfers will be less likely to be long ones

20.02.2026 23:43 πŸ‘ 4 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

It's that PLUS the fact that you almost always need to transfer downtown (which is also true for most Minneapolis–Saint Paul trips). Transfers are the biggest time-add for Twin Cities transit trips because of you miss a connection it's a likely 15 min. time-add to your trip.
