#AstroBot is a #Top10 gaming experience all time for me. Playing through it with my son combined with the Nostalgia of all the past PlayStation ephemera, it hit me like few games in recent memory have.
It's definitely a game that has made me remember why I really enjoy gaming.

The cubs are in the NLDS,
and while I recognize that the Brewers are probably the better team,
I hope to #FlyTheW outside my house 11 more times before October ends.
The x-factor abilities that made/make players great. The unwritten rules & aura that would take a player from good to great.
I write all this not to denounce OR celebrate ABS making its way into the game in 2026. Not to get on a soapbox about how the game is changing &change is bad (it's not).
ABS is undoubtably going to help the game get things 'right' more. It takes the game to a binary level. 1 or 0, alive or dead, there's no gray area with it.
But in that same way, it takes away some of the unidentifiable magic that makes the game amazing.
I almost always feel that more data...more information is always better.
How can you think that knowing more is ever a bad thing?
How can having more reliable information be bad?
But one of the things I love about baseball is the stories that it allows us to tell.
As I was reading the story, I loved how he pointed out the framing process by Carson Kelly. And for whatever reason it triggered a thought in my head that, the game is getting less 'romantic' with next year's introduction of ABS.
And that thought is at odds with my normal desires on data & stats.

long story short, it's a ball. I'm a Cubs fans...and it's a ball. Are their some interesting arguments as to why it was a strike call? Yes. But the Cubs got lucky.

A work adjacent phone call has fully detailed my #999 challenge attempt. I made it through 5 innings....next time I'll get regular beer too....
It's been brought to my attention that the amount of sugar in the hard cider isn't great for me. We're running a modified #999challenge after the 4th inning.... The dogs will continue.

Finally saw #Thunderbolts*... Man if that doesn't feel like an really good Phase 1 or Phase 2 film.
Finally watched the direct and it does look like it will be the next great Nintendo Platform/Adventure game. This coupled with MK World & Metroid Prime 4 makes a great 1st party first year for the Switch 2.
All the comments & stories are true. I'm really liking #MarioKartWorld, but #FastFusion in *the* launch game of the #Switch2.
