Whenever I see the use of language like "rockstar of <foo>" I immediately think that somewhere in this ecosystem there are people elevating egos to improper heights.
It has become a reliable warning sign.
I read a post from a guy who realized he was 3 hours from giving a talk for which he hadn't prepared, so he had the AI research talking points, construct a narrative & build slides in time for the downbeat.
And he thought that was a brag.
