Made it one week before baby was struck down with flu. So today’s work is coming from my kitchen counter while the snotty baby sleeps in a carrier.
Nothing says welcome back to work like hunting for non-expired license codes for SPSS and NVivo…
I’ve been quiet on here while I’ve been off with this fluffy egg for 9 months. Back to work next week and while I love my job I’m going to miss all our time together! And I hope I can find two brain cells to rub together… ☕️ 🧠 😴
Coming out of maternity leave cloud so apologies for exceptionally late like of this post 😂 hooray!!

Great to see the link between language and mental health considered on the BBC - and amazing of Siouxsie to share her experiences www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
We have video guides for mental health practitioners about language problems and mental health - see below!
We need your help!
We are looking for any professionals who work with adults with Developmental Language Disorder.

💬 'Over the many years I’ve worked in mental health, I can’t remember a single discussion about the one factor schools can affect: language'

I’m so excited to share the new paperback cover for Coming Of Age 🌟

My MSc student Jess is looking for autistic and non-autistic people to take part in her study. If you have 20 mins spare and fancy taking part it would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks! We also used the prize funds to pay participants for a project exploring the views of research data sharing amongst autistic adults and parents of autistic people which are just writing up now :)
Quite interesting - I did my first media appearance this week and was really nervous about whether I’d said things poorly that might mean people missed the point etc etc - but then one of the few things I felt very strongly about and said clearly “we need to say this caveat” get edited out 🙃
