Cis journos who fancy themselves our allies - one of the best things you could do right now is push some human interest stories about trans people like this into the mainstream.

AI Doesn’t Reduce Workβ€”It Intensifies It One of the promises of AI is that it can reduce workloads so employees can focus more on higher-value and more engaging tasks. But according to new research, AI tools don’t reduce work, they consisten...

"the productivity explosion we’ve been promised" is just us, working harder, working nonstop.

"Workers slipped small amounts of work into moments that had previously been breaks. Many prompted AI during lunch, in meetings, or while waiting for a file to load."

Spotlighting The World Factbook as We Bid a Fond Farewell - CIA

The Trump admin has shut down the CIA’s World Factbook, a country reference that for six decades has provided data on birth and death rates, major exports, and more. Long used by government officials and by researchers, educators, and journalists, the database was taken offline today.

According to PEN America, nearly 9,000 books have been banned in Florida since 2021

This isn't β€œparental choice.” It’s shelves emptied, stories erased & students cut off from ideas that help them learn, question & grow.

Every removed book is a reader who won't see themselves reflected & narrows the world a little more. FL students deserve libraries full of possibility, not fear.

πŸ‘‹My debut nonfiction book comes out this May.

(OUT) ON THE ROAD is the book I wish I had when I first started traveling as a visibly queer person.

It explains SO MUCH of what travel's really like when you're LGBTQ – but from a perspective that centers joy, power, and freedom.

Seeking recs of LGBTQ authors, inclusive travel experts, queer travel creators, or otherwise likeminded people.
