Had a go at making a flag using a graphics program. It's for one of the German mercenary units in the Polish/Lithuanian force I'm currently working on. Not too bad for a first attempt.

Adding bling to the Polish/Lithuanian commonwealth cavalry Iβm working on just got a lot easier. I might even use some of them to decorate my own nailsπ
Going to cover how to use these in my next YouTube video.
They do look rather pretty painted up, and yes, that is a Oldhammer Kislev figure carrying the standardπ
Itβs a daunting task!! Three down , eight to go. Spending todayβs hobby time cleaning up more metal castings for this Winged Hussar unit and getting them all undercoated. Iβm a perpetual non-achiever on everything I do, so Iβm hoping I can change that and get this boyhood dream army onto the table..
Itβs time!!
Iβve wanted to paint a 28mm Polish/Lithuanian Commonwealth army for years, but never felt capable of doing it justice. Finally decided to do something about it before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
I think itβs possibly fumes from the plastic cement, or too much brush lickingπ€ͺ
A trouser dilemma π€
Fashion Victimsπ³
I had to look up the details in my big boys book of Bavarian bits n bobsπ€ͺ Painting Napoleonics can be torture, but they look great when you get them done.
Itβs a dangerous pastime π
My first attempt at βsponging a ponyβ please donβt report me to the Authorities π
No problem, hope you find it useful. Iβll post results of my endeavours.
Iβll find the video and share the link.
The latest addition to my painting arsenal, yep make up sponges π
Going to have a crack at using them to speed up my horse painting process as Iβve got a shedload of Bavarian pony wallopers to paint. Watched a video on YouTube how they do it and the results look quite good.
They certainly put up a decent fight in the 1809 and 1812 campaigns and Napoleon even recognised that fact.
Raupenhelms are the way forwards comradeπ
Ooooooohh 40mm, I bet they look great at that scale!!!
They are a fab little army.
Showing Bavaria a bit of love today. These chaps have sat around for ages in a nearly complete state and itβs only going to take an hour or so they finish them. 28mm 3d prints from Piano Wargames. Bavarian napoleonic 6th light infantry battalion LaRoche and very nice figures they are indeed
Three different views of 17-year old Marina Ginestà on top of Hotel Colon in Plaça Catalunya on 21 July 1936 staged and taken by German born Juan GuzmÑn, plus overview over all of GuzmÑn's photos of her, on the roof of Hotel Colón and in Bujalaruz, Aragón with Durruti and soviet journalist Koltsov.
Rebooting my YouTube for 2026, the first of what I hope will be many videos.

Itβs a fab place and the ladies who run it are really lovely.

Thank youπ
About halfway through the International Brigades, really starting to come together as a force now.
For the next few days, I shall be mostly reading this π A quick flick through, and so far, so good. Lots of information, lots of images, both colour and black and white, that include some fabulous uniform colour plates. Fully intend to do a video review of this on my YouTube Channel.
German anti-Nazi exile magazine covers (1936-37) featuring images from the war in Spain.
Just the bases to finish off on these International Brigadiers. I hope to add some videos on my YouTube channel running through some of the processes I use when painting my stuff.
The basic shell is done. It looks a bit shite as itβs held together with masking tape!! Hopefully the end result will be a little less shonkyπ
Busy busyπ
Another shouty bloke joins the growing ranks of my International Brigades force. A capo to command one of the Seccion Grupos. Once again itβs a 3D print from Ebro Miniatures.
