My theory is that they don’t actually have large enough context windows. While the context window is large enough for the story text, most stories have a world model/reader model that is massive. Good stories have a much larger world than the story written.

There are more civilian owned guns in the US than in the rest of the world combined. That means the police have a much higher chance of having a violent encounter on any home entry, leading to more police being trained like militaries than social workers. Not most, but more - hence the diff.

A reminder that liking a post on bsky doesn't make it appear on your followers feed in the same way that it did on X.

If you think your followers may be interested in a post, then please do re-post it don't just like it.

When I joined Mastodon, my feed was also empty but I couldn’t muster enough energy to develop a good feed over a long enough period of time and ended up back on X. With starter packs I ended up with a better feed here than I do on X in a couple days.

They’ve been really helpful for me. When I first joined there was very little in my feed and I didn’t know who was here. I don’t post a bunch but read a lot. The starter packs have made my feed valuable again. Even if I don’t know you yet. Nice to meet you.

I added you from a list of people to follow in AI/ML. Can’t speak for everyone else.

We use the Lutron smart sockets to automatically turn on the coffee in the morning during the week for a coffee maker that doesn’t have a built in timer. Works great with Apple Home.

Basketball. I have to chase people around to push myself harder than I would in a normal workout.
