Meanwhile the platforms have basically all given up on content moderation in favour of age verification, so the platforms are more toxic and disgusting than they were 2 years ago.

β€˜Worst thing I’ve ever seen’: CSIRO slashes climate modelling jobs Australia’s science agency is cutting more than 100 jobs in its Environment Research Unit, which critics say will crush our capacity to predict climate change.

CSIRO have now lost more jobs under the Albanese Governmet than under the Abbott Government.

We have to do better on research funding and backing our scientists.

Regional Australia seems to be getting hit increasingly harder by natural disasters exacerbated by climate change. In the past, I've donated relatively generously to fundraising appeals.
Because they seem forever hell bent on voting for plonkers like Canavan, I can't muster the sympathy anymore.

Inter-generational trauma exploited by power-addicted psychopathic politicians I guess.

And yet, no government in Australia is rushing to stamp out this kind of hate speech.πŸ˜•

One sees interviews with this manchild and can be forgiven for thinking what he said is so outrageous it’s gotta be deepfaked. Next minute the administration doubles down on his wild statement and it tells you that they really are fucken bonkers.

Albanese warned against 'bystanders' six months before Australia became one Bipartisan support for the "global rules-based order" has all but disappeared in Australia.

Speers exposes our hollowman PM quite well in this piece. I mean, many of us could see this "Tory fighter" isn't the man he pretended to be.

I see Albo as being no different from Morrison in his Sharkies jersey.

A fake. A phony. But also a tired, lazy husk.

He’s a career politician. I tend to think this was all about elevating his status at a given point in time, rather than something said out of belief or conviction.
It was all an act.

I'm going to be extra particularly unkind and say this applies to all (but a few) politicians ever!πŸ™‚

That is where *they* are now.
We know powerful people in all sorts of places do this shit and get away with it. For me, it sucks simply because both of our PMs refer to these USA weirdos as a great ally.
I'm trying to ignore the media coming out of there and focus on what I can change here.

It was all very convivial - good chats, sharing lollies, sunscreen, etc.
Anyway o of the ALP vollies had his 17 yo daughter there helping. She told one of our colleagues that next election, she’s volunteering for The Greens.

Years ago I volunteered for The Greens on a polling booth. We mixed with volunteers from every other party but the LNP, who were just weird cunce.
Surprisingly, for Oxley, PHON didn’t have a presence there, but the Motoring Enthusiasts (remember them?) did, and there were one or two others.

What ever happened to Anne Aly? She's an expert on this and holds the small business portfolio.
