I started reading The Everlasting by @alixeharrow.bsky.social at Thanksgiving. It is achingly beautiful. I find myself reading a few pages, and savoring it -- sometimes for days. I'm 1/3rd of the way through it now (yes, a month later), and it's one of those books that you hope never ends.

On a per % of GDP basis, America and Europe are about equal on gambling spend (0.4%). On a per capita basis, the U.S. is slightly higher than the Euro average, but significantly below some places (Ireland, Iceland, Cyprus, etc).

It's really just that simple.
I think i'm in the rare minority who actually enjoys their twitter account. I don't know if it's my insistent blocking/muting or what, but I don't generally get all of the crap.
