I always thought it was a carrot
I always thought it was a carrot
I mean, I have a better answer to that question, but it's not very polite...
Not to spoil anything but you should check out that Scott Pilgrim show

Get ready to GET REAL! The Panel Pals are back with an ep discussing what might be the best manga from who might be the best mangaka: Inoe Takehiko's REAL.
Iβm not even going to check because I guarantee that somebody has already said SΓ lo and if they havenβt they should have that movie suuuuuuuuucks to watch.
Hey man, your the DC guy π€·ββοΈI ain't readin' all of Legion to check.
Bold to include everything post "5 Years Later"
Batman & Robin by Grant Morrison et al. This was some of the most challenging works I read in my early "monthly" comics reading. Never have I been as frustrated yet madly in love with a work as this. Morrison remains my (problematic?) fave.
Avengers vol 1 by Brian Micheal Bendis. Bendis and Romita Jrβs big revamp post Siege felt so massive when I was a kid, especially with excitement ramping up for the MCU film. Lots of big set pieces and wacky visual concepts like Thor flying into Galactusβs head are seared into my brain.
The latest Panel Pals is out now! This week, the beginning of our subseries discussing the legacy of Watchmen: @kierongillen.bsky.social and @casparw.bsky.social Peter Cannon...Thunderbolt!

This is bait, a classic Jaffe jape.
Project A-Ko (1986). The dub is admittedly pretty dated but if you want the authentic βevery-anime-all-at-onceβ experience, Iβd go with that.
Youβd think βbased on the hit video gameβ would be more of the focus here.
Sausage of the Lambs
GET HYPED FOR THE SEASON 2 PREMIERE OF PANEL PALS! This week, we're back on our bullsh!t talkin' fight manga!

3. Now absolutely is not the time for national pride for people in the states. Itβs probably how they got to this point. Now is likely more a time for humble, sober reflection. The American way sucks.
3/?
2. As someone looking in from the outside, historically the American way is about βsuperiority, cruelty and dominanceβ. Thatβs the doctrine of any colonial project. Itβs why there was genocide against indigenous peoples in the US. Itβs why the Global South has become the way it is.
2/?
I saw a post today from an author turned comics writer suggesting they bring back the βAmerican Wayβ in the Superman mantra. Couple of things:
1. It wasnβt originally part of the mantra. It got added in the 50βs for the TV show back when McCarthyism was all the rage
1/?
I think the only way I'm gonna be convinced to watch that new Masters of the Universe movie is if it has an explicit scene between Skeletor and Beastman
I havenβt even played Strive and you know I got Disaster of Passion on deck everyday.
New ep of Panel Pals! This week we discuss temporal subjectivity and trauma through the lens of @denizcamp.bsky.social & @ericxyz.bsky.social's Assorted Crisis events. It's a fun one! Okay not fun...but a great comic and an interesting dissection!

That Batman guy is pretty cool.
Heroes in Crisis was bad, actually.
Darwyn Cooke shouldβve made more comics before his passing.
Jack Kirby did great work the entirety of his career and deserves credit for it.
I think DC is hesitant to release that stuff because of all the minstrel characters. That being said I would be shocked if a proper Neal Adams/Denny OβNeil collection hasnβt been l in discussion.
Best comic of 2025. What a banger.
and if you haven't listened yet, here's a link to part one: www.cloudscapecomics.com/2025/12/29/t... it was a super fun time!
