Clark brightened up considerably when Zatanna agreed to go with him.
"I'll wait outside for you to get ready."
He turned to leave and nearly tripped over his own feet.

Clark gathered up his courage as he took a step closer to Zatanna.
"I-If you're free Zatanna. . . . I made a reservation at a nice restaurant."
He hoped she'd accept his invitation.
"Kara! What the heck are you doing?!"
Worried cousin is worried.
Her smile had Clark lighting up as well.
He was enamored with the way her eyes lit up and the curl of her lip when she smiled.
When she spoke he had to shake himself out of his daze.
"Y-Yeah! I picked them out on my way to the show! I'm glad you like 'em!"
"The show was really good. You're talented Zatanna."
Clark smiled warmly at Zatanna as he offered a bouquet of flowers to her.
Clark enjoyed the show very much and made his way to her dressing room afterward.
His knuckles rapped lightly on the door before he entered.
"Zatanna? It's me Clark Kent from the coffee shop the other day."
The electricity was nothing to Superman.
He'd fly the Cyberman to the moon where they could fight without hurting innocent civilians.
"Of course!"
Despite some of Kara's choices Clark still loves his cousin.
"So how have you been? Do anything exciting lately?"

No Superman stuff tonight he hopes.
He has plans(and a reservation) to take Zatanna out after her show.
He showed up at the venue on time and found his seat.

Clark's phone rang suddenly and he scrambled to answer it.
He finished the call as he grabbed his own coffee.
"I'm so sorry Zatanna! I'm late for work! See you at your show!"
He called out as he hurried out of the cafรฉ, bumping into a few people on his way out.
"How ya been Kara? It's been a while since I've seen you."
"I'll do my best to be there.
I enjoy a good magic show."
As long as Superman stuff doesn't get in the way.
He thought to himself as they both waited for their coffees to be done.
"Oh?"
Clark is immediately curious as he orders his coffee and steps aside so Zatanna can order hers.
"That sounds pretty cool! I'll have to see if I can get a ticket."

Clark grasped her hand carefully and shook it in the normal way most humans did.
"I was gonna go get some coffee. Would you like to join me?" ๐ค
"It's Clark now Kara. Clark Kent."
"I'm glad to be meetin' ya now Zatanna!"
Clark grinned warmly at her.
He always enjoyed meeting new people and making connections.
"Of course I do!"
Clark pulled back and adjusted his tie to where it was before.
He was trying to maintain a certain image, one that most wouldn't look at too closely.
"I do. I just have other stuff I gotta take care of too!"
"Do I do that a lot? That might be an exaggeration my dude."
