Fuck them golden cards, man. You gotta be kidding me with those.
Bomberman 64 was incredibly formative, which is funny for a game I’ve never been good enough to 100% let alone even only get the bad ending.
i think its the year of appreciating hudson soft games
Ugh, okay yeah it definitely got worse in the later days. "You should do the full syndicate bounty thing where you run the crime activity three times in a day three days in a row" thing is pretty egregious too.
Was it red or was it blue... I may never know...
That would be the Destiny 2 DNA in its model. D2 was never about demanding you to log in every day with notifications of all the little currencies you get just for doing so. It was still very much a live-service game with having things you want to do very regularly.
Tea from Yu-Gi-Oh says "You won, so you get Griggle"
Who else is up getting their Griggle on
The best part is how modest a lot of outfits are compared to his canon fits after season 1. He wasn't fully a Jo-Jo character but by god he wouldn't have felt out of place with 'em either.
Which entirely is a fault of the employ-o-sphere being a wholly ableist space that insists expectations that are unrealistic for even people that don't have these same struggles, but then the reality to accept is probably "Fundamentally nobody is hireable".
Learning I have ADHD helped a lot with coming to terms with tackling the narratives that my work ethic was "bad" and seeing myself in a better light. But the narrative that I'm "unhireable" and a "perpetual bad employee" is still nailed in there tight.
I had teachers write on my report cards how "brilliant" I was at certain subjects and then I would just "not apply myself if I wasn't interested". I was constantly berated for needing to be told to do something, and jobs would hate that I would struggle to "see what needs to be done and do it".
It's good to love quality art but it's also valid and good to admit that sometimes your heart and soul is just warmed by specific Dogshit and that's beautiful. Sometimes a fastfood burger can hit harder than filet mignon and you'll have no idea why.
The Ass Warp...
It's been like this for a while. Media as a whole got very expensive to produce, and the wholly un-creative investors don't want to take the risk of throwing money at a project that might be contentious or daring. So they want "safe" productions using "tried-and-true" properties.
Puppy Truck would be allowed to, if they wanted...
all of this is to say: CAD is just really that poorly written. It's, astonishingly badly written.
People have loved, and will continue to love, comics with frankly much worse art visually or art that's far easier to accomplish, because the writing carries it so damn much. Dinosaur Comics exists for pete's sake.
CAD exists in this hilarious state as just a phenomenally bad comic, and I would argue first and foremost for its writing. Also the time Tim stole a design off of Deviant Art. I don't really fault the comic for ever using the "paper-doll" method of composing its comics as much as either, though.
the fact that this is the original cereal strike comic is fucking destroying me. he didnt need to say all of that. theres not even a joke
That’s fair, but if I am cooking for guests it’s not often going to be without knowing what they might want or like, something I especially want to know if there are potential dietary concerns I do not know about.
I hold the opinion that you shouldn't really NEED to use salt and pepper on a served dish because it should be adequately seasoned when cooked, but the idea that seasoning "hides the taste of the food" and that it's a bad thing for it is a deck missing more than a few cards-- it's not even a hand!
Welcome back, Mr. President.
Heed my advice!
You're the President,
You shouldn't work so hard outside!
Have a nice day!

Wow compression really doing it a lot of favors. Anyways, really happy with how it turned out, but it's far from perfect in my eyes. Just had to like, get myself to finish it and make it real regardless, and then move on to make new things.
Close-up of my new icon-- the first I've made or had for like over ten years, but also one I've fully made myself. Based on a sona I've designed in my head and never fully drawn out, I really wanted to do something that looks like a Bomberman 64 Sentai Villain.
“Why so serious?” - Guess the movie ;)
(Beartato and Reginald, in a museum, gaze upon the Mona Lisa) BEARTATO: There it is. The Mona Lisa. The most famous painting in history. REGINALD: Wow! What's it do? BEARTATO: It... what? REGINALD: Why's it famous? What's it do? (Beartato thinks.) BEARTATO: I don't know. REGINALD (to nearly museum employee): Excuse me! Sir? What's it do? EMPLOYEE: You're the first person to ask! Watch this! (The employee yanks a pull-string. Mona Lisa's eyes spin around and her mouth opens like a puppet) MONA LISA: Honk honk! Honk honk! (Everyone is delighted. This is true art.)
True Art
