A book cover. It depicts a dark, foreboding forest, with the author's name, Zoe Storm, at the top of the image, and the title, "The Heart of the Woods and Other Stories: Five Further Tales of Gender Magic", in the middle, both written in white serif capital words.

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.
Two days ago, 7 democrats voted to fund that execution
quick what should I panic buy? is it thirty cans of soup?
okay I think the edits for Bottle Blondes will be done extremely soon, at which point I'll pivot back to writing Lady in Waiting
my vision at this point is to write it all (or at least up to where its a full standalone story, potential sequel notwithstanding) and then release serially week by week
having no expectations kinda rocks it's all house money
cam newton jersey on baby let's go panthers
*girl without a letterboxed* 2.5 stars when will they give me the next Set It Up
the non linear nature of the novel probably doesn't help but gosh a lot of these adaptations kinda struggle compared to romcoms written for the screen
it's not even that it's a bad movie! or that I love people we meet as a book! but like, man, the loss of internality in a lot of adaptations seems almost ruinous
slowly being convinced that romance novels do not translate well to movies
...yes this is a people we meet on vacation post
What if none of these things is a distraction from the other things and instead they're all just horrible things
It would be awesome if the world's most militarily powerful nation wasn't a lawless rogue state
this is all to say: if you haven't yet read bottle blondes and just found out about it yesterday, you may want to wait! i think the book that comes out of the edits will be just a notch better than the serial (and will have a very pretty cover to boot!)
i'm still new to writing in a lot of ways! i've written a lot, yes, and i'm proud of the stuff i've made, but there are blind spots. and to this point, the only most of the feedback i've gotten has come from comments. having a professional go thru and mark up each page has helped me so much
probably not a terrible moment to say that i am really excited about the edits for bottle blondes
the story is pretty much the same; what's changed is that my editor (kirstyn, who is wonderful) has helped me clean up and sharpen my writing
and congrats and thanks to Bethany for all the work she did on the whole awards!
I did laugh when it went beautiful cover beautiful cover DEFAULT SCRIBBLEHUB beautiful cover
what a kickass way to end the year
thank you to everyone who voted for Bottle Blondes for Best Romance! congrats to all the winners!!
drink! be merry! avoid your annoying relatives at all cost!
and have a happy new year (sorry i'm so early!)
going to be offline probably right up until new years, so, happy holidays everyone! it's been a very weird year for me overall, but one of the highlights was certainly the love bottle blondes got and how much confidence it gave me in writing
that's to say: thanks for 2025 <3
ALL THE WAY is now live!
hahahaha kill me
