Umeboshi day. Doing a preliminary test run on some 21 day fermented plums. I’m going to let the main group keep fermenting for another week or so. I had to try one fresh and wow was it interesting and delicious. Funky, salty and tangy goodness. Into the dehydrator for a gentle 24 hour sauna. 🍽️

My wife and I standing in front of the red eastern cedar and a lake that is now our Yule tree in our shop.
Traipsing through our woods Yule Tree hunting for the shop. This winged elm was quite spectacular so I had to stop and admire. We finally found one by the lake. 🌿
I’m starting to prepare for a solstice dinner at the shop. Looking forward to working with this. A decent harvest, enough for a syrup or something interesting hopefully. 🌱🌿🍽️
