I've got literally hundreds of memos, receipts, telegraph carbon copies, payslips, goods invoices, waybills for Mansfield Station 1860-1890s. Day to day, mundane stuff of running a railway station. Customer complaints. Managing the staff. Supplies and stores. Chimney sweeping and carpet cleaning.

I've given chapters as the next best thing to page numbers. But unless I buy the physical book, I can't give them page numbers. ARGH
ARGH! Responding to peer reviewers comments. Because I'm poor, and don't have my SCONUL card any more, I've had to buy digital copies of academic books. Horribly expensive ones. BUT! some of them don't have page numbers or pagination the same as the printed version. Reviewer wants page numbers. How?
