These people are willing to take these shots, often aimed at their loved ones, if they believe theyβll get something out of it. How do you look your kids in the eye after you failed to stand up for them? Disgusting cowards.
Done. Thank you Scott!
I am fortunate to live in a state represented by senators who share my values and stand up to this administrationβs nominations to demand we have competent people for these important jobs. I wrote my delegation, take a moment to write yours.
Freezing federal funding (π£οΈthat was written into law by Congress!!!) is disruptive and there are some very real concerns about how it would affect established programs across the board. But where are most of these recipients? Take a look! π www.reuters.com/graphics/USA...

True leadership. Pure class. He did great things for our transportation system and the people who deliver what our country needs.

A little timeline cleanse for you. I was in Detroit last month and really enjoyed my trip - some great stuff happening there!
I get up early when I travel to go for a run, explore, and beat back the jet lag.
Below is:
1. Michigan Avenue in Corktown
2. Renaissance Center
3. Detroit Riverfront
I had this same sentiment from 2016-2021, but here we are again. I am optimistic people will wake up, especially those who sat out the election and could have made a difference. We cannot afford to be bystanders if we want to preserve democracy.
I feel like my super power is the ability to nap when needed. Early in my career I worked swing shifts and had to catch sleep at odd times. Need help napping? These tips pretty good. π΄ www.nytimes.com/2023/11/23/w...
Thatβs what I eventually arrived to. Itβs also more considerate of how people absorb information. Getting into the semantics of whatβs considered βreadingβ isnβt worth it. Discussing literature, now thatβs a better use of time and energy!
I had been on the side of reading a book is reading, audiobooks are listening, not actually βreading.β This was before realizing my oldest is dyslexic and struggled to read books, but enjoyed audiobooks. My perspective now is that it doesnβt really matter how people enjoy/consume books.
Take a moment to write your senators to take a stand on recess appointments and uphold an essential check in our federal system.
Done! Thanks for posting the link.
Dan Rather brings the fireπ₯
I was thinking the same thing. Also, considering how a Rex Tillerson nomination would be considered relatively tame by todayβs standards. Doesnβt mean that he would be the best fit for a cabinet office, but compared to Matt Gaetz or RFK Jr., heβs not hell bent on trying to burn it all down.
Sunrise over a lake
First post! Sharing a sunrise over Green Lake from last week. Where are my Seattle people?
