It's mining similar ground to some other recent films, like Poor Things and The Substance, but I do find the trailer intriguing.

He's like a frikkin' child.
I can't wait for his underwater amusement park.
Underground highways? Artificial islands? What a jackass.
Not to mention a sunny day has become overcast.
The reverse, unfortunately, is less effective.

Comic book character Vampirella with a graphic background depicting a flight of bats.
Marvel character Hogun the Grim, a warrior in a horned helmet, holding a large mace and a shield.
The Alien from the Alien movie franchise, standing in a background of their excreted organic environment.
Art the Clown from Terrifier movies, grinning in sinister fashion, and posing with a butcher's knife. Art and the knife are both spotted with blood.
More inks and pencils. Vampirella, Hogun the Grim, The Alien, and Art the Clown. Brush and ink, with a splash of red gouache for Art. Hot pressed watercolour paper, 9x12 inches.
I've noted it as well. It was an homage, I'm sure, as BR is a Noir film, essentially.
Perfect zig-zag layout.
I will watch the film again, and more than once. If it does disappear in coming years, I would put that down more to it being drowned and swept away by the tsunami of mediocre entertainment that is streaming culture. Perhaps not the triumph some assert, but better than average by a long chalk.
The film may have been overpraised, but some of the points made in the article flop. The current state of affairs re: immigrant detention was absolutely imaginable when the film went into production. And, if the villains lack depth, our real-life villains are even more shallow and caricatured.
Seconded.
WTAF?
I'll allow it! (Not that it's up to me.)
Nice!
Not quite in the same league as Westworld, but it's a good premise and has some great moments.
A 4k of the original 1976 version? I hadn't heard that.
The sci-fi of the late 60's and 70's was very good at starting out sort of light, maybe even a little silly, then becoming very dark by the end. This is a good example, along with ZPG, Rollerball, Logan's Run, and others.

It's just more grim, gross garbage every day.
Is this a surprise? This has been the plan since his first term.
Ah shit.
One of the very best, and such a long career.
You are correct!
Some inks and new pencils! Black Cat, The Ghoul, Hawkgirl, and the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing! If you plan to attend Toronto Comicon in March, please come by and check out my stuff. Brush and ink on hot press watercolour paper. 9x12 inches.
I love how the solution to all the problems is always more belt tightening on the part of those struggling.
Nice one, Walter.
