once i could consistently get lap times in the first course of below 30s with the formula star or the bulk star, everything fell into place

for me the thing that really helped was going into time trials and really paying attention to what caused my cruising speed to drop around corners, and what didn’t. (eg mashing break has surprisingly little impact even with low acceleration vehicles like formula star)
