Yep. We had green say there are two winters. Usually they are different in that the first one has most of the real cold, and most of the snow… but I think anything is up for grabs this year.

We’ve had a weird winter weather wise too.
Lots of dramatic highs and lows. Way more snow this winter than in the past 4.
It’s been a ride for sure.
Oh oh!! Stay tuned… I have some good specimens coming. Not the best photos… but really caked big trees.

That day wasn’t too bad actually…. Sort of had an inversion, so down in town was much colder.
I had been inspired by all the frost/ice covered trees in town, thinking I’d find them up in elevation too… but it didn’t carry up.

True true.
I would say it’s likely confirmation bias on my part. But I see and hear a lot of lust for xpan/widelux/617… and lenses wider than 35 on 135 or equivalent. You can see the prices too in the resale market reflect that too.
I think that 150 Sonnar is still an incredible bargain.
The danger with wide is a very flat image… and personally I value depth over width.

I think wide is too popular, and it is also actually very hard to do well.
I also don’t think it does the landscape of the Yukon justice. We aren’t a busy tight metropolis. And while we do have some of the largest mountains in NA, most of our landscape is sprawling and vast.
