Photo cutout of Elizabeth Catlett in front of a blue gradient background and below one of her paintings with the following text: WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH: ELIZABETH CATLETT, ARTIST. Below that text is one of her quotes: I have always wanted my art to service my people--to reflect us, to relate to us, to stimulate us, to make us aware of our potential.
Elizabeth Catlett believed art could lift the human spirit and serve the people. She created powerful sculptures and prints that celebrate Black womanhood, labor, and motherhood. This #WomensHistoryMonth, we honor her enduring legacy of hope and justice. www.nga.gov/exhibitions/...
βWhen evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love.β

For Women's History Month, I want to acknowledge Nikole Hannah Jones and her incredible work creating the 1619 Project. At a time when history is being pulled from schools, we need to highlight the protectors of our true history.
We can all hold onto my father's legacy by honoring his ideals of peace, justice, and equity. Each of us will determine whether we sow chaos or community.
Nearly two-thirds of volunteers report that volunteering helped them form new friendships. When we serve together, we grow together. #RealizeTheDream
March is #WomensHistoryMonth. It's time to honor the courage, brilliance, and resilience of women who have shaped our world. From artists and activists to scientists and leaders, womenβs voices and legacies have led the way in building justice, equality, and hope.
Iβll never forget seeing her at an event after her release when I was 14. Even then, I understood the gravity of her presence. This #BlackHistoryMonth, we honor her intellect, her leadership, and her lifelong commitment to freedom and justice for all.

The path to peace must be built. Dad used to say we must learn nonviolence or face nonexistence. The message, today and every day, is to move toward love, not hate.

Trayvon Martin was just 17 when he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman. 14 years later, I am thinking of his mother
Sybrina Fulton, his family, and the generations of activists who continue to fight for justice and equality. #BlackLivesMatter

My father taught us that everybody can serve. When we answer that call together, we move closer to the Beloved Community.
History teaches us that every step forward is met with resistance. Progress is never guaranteed; it must be fought for β and protected.
On this day, in 1870, Hiram Revels was sworn in as the first Black U.S. Senator, shattering a barrier once thought unbreakable. Just over a century later, in 1968, Shirley Chisholm made history as the first Black woman elected to Congress. #BlackHistoryMonth
The work of justice begins with understanding that what affects one of us touches all of us. Our liberation is bound together.
6 years ago, Ahmaud Arbery was out for a jog when he was violently chased down & murdered here in GA. He was only 25. We hold his family in our hearts & recommit ourselves to confronting racism in all its forms & building the Beloved Community rooted in justice & love. Say his name. #AhmaudArbery
The Beloved Community asks us to look beyond division and see the goodness and dignity within each other. When we honor every person as part of the human family, we build a culture rooted in mutual respect and belonging.
What kind of love gives someone permission to walk away?
From a prison cell, sentenced to nine years, Brittney Griner offered her wife, Cherelle, her freedom so her dreams would not be caged, too. That is love stripped down to sacrifice.

Peace requires radical, proactive nonviolence.
None of us can build it alone, but together we can move closer to it every day.

The world has lost a giant in Norman Francis. I was honored to know him and witness his extraordinary leadership at Xavier and his deep belief in young people.
May we carry his legacy forward.
On this day in 1965, Malcolm X was assassinated. But his voice, his vision, and his legacy continue to echo through generations.
His work reminds us that the fight for justice takes many formsβbut it requires all of us. #BlackHistoryMonth
Text in front of a graphic of arms and hands locked together that reads "World Day of Social Justice"
Today we celebrate World Day of #SocialJustice and recommit to ending what Dad called the triple evils of poverty, racism, and violence. Building a just world means protecting the future of our children and ensuring they inherit a society rooted in peace.
#OTD in 1956, Montgomery officials issued arrest warrants for 89 leaders of the Bus Boycott, including Dad, Rosa Parks, Jo Ann Robinson, and Ralph Abernathy.
