I remember in elementary school being confused by all the gender rules. Why did they have to sort us by gender to do art activities? Why did boys and girls claim to dislike each other? Why did ppl think it was weird when I was friends with both?

Roads get closed, we get lost and end up back in downtown, cars break down, that sorta thing…

Interestingly, the environment around the city keeps changing too. Sometimes it’s in forested mountains. Sometimes it’s in cold, vast planes. But the internal structure remains pretty consistent.

There’s also skyscrapers and one of them has weird little “bubble” fixtures all along it’s outer wall with glass floors that ppl can look down t here through.

In many of my dreams, I’m visiting this city with family and somehow we get stuck.

The north side of town is also really run down. Just sprawling urban decay with really wide avenues. Downtown is pretty cool I guess. Several recurring buildings like the science museum, this one massive courthouse thing, this weird giant warehouse surrounded by train tracks…

There’s some places in the city that I don’t like to go. Like a park which is always on the east side on the river bank. Something eerie is always happening there. Ramshackle boat villages, abandoned playgrounds, strange, awkward family reunions….

Oh that IS freaky.

There’s one particular city I keep coming back to. It’s not a city irl. But it’s at the joining of two rivers and miles away from other civilization. It has a highway raised WAY up in the sky and a science museum where one wall is all window so you can see in and out…

Congrats! Ppl keep buying me food and drinks…wonder if it’s because I’m cute…

As someone who’s been dealing with insomnia my whole life (since high school), it’s bizarre but I’ve been getting better lately. I’m not sure what it is exactly. But I think it has something to do with my arrival in Australia. I just feel…safe. Safe enough to sleep.
