Bout to beedle-disconnect myself from this plane of existence
If you ever doubt how Ontario Down I am, just know Iβm currently in a very long line at the convenience store being held up by someoneβs lottery purchases just waiting for the βWinner!! Gagnon!!β of freedom to ring out.
Canβt stop thinking about the John Carpenterβs Toxic Avenger demo, holyyyy just pure stress (the fun kind)
Very very gamey game
Yeah along with like 29 other programs π
Not to go on an absolutely triggered rant but the shift from standards driven curation to engagement based algorithms serving stories has also done irreparable damage to peopleβs abilities to figure out wtf is going on π©
I try my best to adapt to change and take the world as it is.
People lost faith in the press (for complicated and nuanced reasons) but there has to be a better way to stay informed than meme pages asking βwhat you think about Iranian air strikes chat π€―π±π£β in the comments or emotional influencers
Really sad to see the journalism program at Algonquin College get cut.
With no exaggeration I can say taking that program turned my life around.
Getting to go back years later and teach parts of the course was super fulfilling.
Just a huge bummer to know itβs not a thing anymore.
Was annoyed that, no matter what I do, when I turn off my PlayStation it switches to annoying built in channels that I didnβt ask for, instead of just a black screen.
Found a channel that only plays episodes of Jojoβs Bizarre Adventure 24/7 and now my life has vastly improved
Played Alan Wake 2.
Combat got a lil samey and the visual effects caused me a headache like twice. But other than that, such a banger near perfect game.
This is what video games are about. I love Alan, Saga, and all the weird shit that happens to them. Peak presentation. Thick suspense. Fantastic.
I still enjoy it to *some* degree. Not fully committing to saying Iβm burned out.
But Iβm definitely not feeling the same passion that had me playing fan translated romhacks back in the day because I couldnβt wait for localization
Different kind of Slow Burn imo. Like with Zero ESPECIALLY youβre doing a ton of really good work as Lloyd & co, and the reveals feel so earned.
Daybreak/Horizon just feels like.. busywork? And then a massive lore dump.
But also like, very well could be a case of getting burned out after 13 games
Sky Remake is a HUGE bright spot for the series.
And Daybreak suffers from an issue of all the awesome story stuff just gets dropped at the end of the games and then they end.
Extremely slow burns which are tough to adjust to post-CS
Okay so Iβm only like 5 hours into Alan Wake 2 but HOLYYYYY this is a video game ass video game. Unbelievably high quality. Worth all the hype.
Played Trails Beyond the Horizon.
I fear Iβm slowly getting over the series. Or at least thatβs how I felt for the first 75% or so of this game. A lot of it comes together CRAZY in the last bit so Iβll play future games, but overall, Vanβs story hasnβt gripped me like the other subseriesβ did.
Been trying to get into watching Empire but itβs so hard to be immersed with how COMICALLY evil Lucious Lyon is πππππ
Helps if you read both good and bad reviews too because having a well roudned point of view is β¨importantβ¨
Please don't just look at number and move on
Just a reminder that the best part of metacritic is being able to click links to the full reviews which are being aggregated so you can take 5 minutes to read some prose while you're trying to make an informed decision on how to spend your money on very very expensive video games
Reached the point in Trails Beyond the Horizon where Iβm just kinda over it. Iβve played every game in the series and I do want to know where the story is gonna go from here, but itβs not giving that βABANDON ALL OTHER HOBBIES AND PLAY THISβ feeling I got from the other titles
I know they have airships, trains, cars, and people that teleport so it doesn't really make sense to be hoofing it everywhere.
There's also a certain charm to getting infinite familiar with a single city as you do your patrols, only going on field trips when necessary.
But yeah, I miss the JOURNEY
Modern Kiseki games been feeling a lot less adventurous. I know there's a lot of story to go through, and the later games having multiple routes with different protags doesn't leave a lot of room for exploration, but I miss hoofing it through Liberl or Crossbell State and DISCOVERING.
BFF
Iβve never gotten angry messages about my matches until I started playing Caitlyn/Blitzcrank
Team kinda sucks but this may be what I rock until season 2 ππ
Random crossplay 2XKO player discovers blocking
I forgot about revenant wings. But I was thinking like, big scale StarCraft 2 type deal
Thatβd be so sick
Had a dream that Final Fantasy XVII was an RTS and I canβt stop thinking about the possibilities
First night playing Cait/Blitz
Hate that fighting games feel like doing homework to non players.
Because man.. when youβre struggling through a complex sequence. Adjusting timing here. Modifying jump angle there.
And you finally figure out what youβve been doing wrong.
Holyyyyyy, peak
Still trying out how to build tight offense. Tips and links appreciated #2xko #2xko_cait #2xko_blitz
Wait this team is kinda sick #2xko #2xko_cait #2xko_blitz
