More Mavic Chen! More alien delegates! More Bret Vyon and more Katarina!!
I have hoped for precisely this. Put together with my Berlin news, this *really* seems to be my week!
Good news, everybody! Two episodes of The Daleks' Master Plan have been discovered!
It's my favourite DW story (despite 7/12 of it still being missing) and this is *big news* for fans of classic Who.
Fun fact: I once made a Daleks' Master Plan concept album. I must revisit this!
My other work in esoteric German is Tuffnells Justiz, in which I play all the characters in (mainly Yorkshire-accented) German: youtu.be/DSGPpNKneTA?...
And now I need to learn some more German - a language I most usefully used for this highly Scottish song: youtu.be/hgpdrrTBgrw?...
Trans Theft Horso has been nominated for some exciting things at @amazefest.bsky.social so I will be going to Berlin this May to put the game about and relish in delight!
This will be my first trip abroad in 25 years and I'm beyond excited for it!
It is sectarian to vote for the candidate who's obviously nice instead of the weird freak
Not as pleasantly as a happy pig who ate a big dinner.
Weren't they already around in the forties? Spitfires and all that?
got another "i wish i could draw" comment this week and i am yelling the same thing i am always yelling: drawing is a technical skill. it's teachable and learnable and it is never "too late" to start picking it up
Oooh! Consider it piqued!
(And on the basis of that word, I now need to look up Michael Flanders' description of a picador).
A pinch and a punch on the first of the liturgical season!
Merry Pancake Day! If you have a copy of Trans Theft Horso this is the prime time to play the pancake minigame.
What *do* the planets mean?
I have a complicated relationship with the Beach Boys. I'm absolutely fascinated by them but find a lot of their work easy to like but impossible to love, and even more impossible to like - but Love You is so odd, intense, unfiltered and Brian-flavoured that it has my whole attention and delight.
Ding Dang! An album I've wanted for years came out today: a full, expanded and astonishing version of my favourite Beach Boys Album, 'Love You' - including a proper release of 'Adult Child' and several more Big Ones.
I've been asking for this EP in particular for five or six years.
I got the chance to preview Trans Theft Horso by @cowchildren.bsky.social at @adventurex.bsky.social - which I wrote up for @indiegamesplus.com! It's an adventure game about chasing hormones in the wild west.

The Romans
The Daleks' Master Plan
The Gunfighters
The Crusade
The Keys of Marinus. Yes, really.
If death ever challenges me to a game, I'm picking the Monty Hall Problem and hoping he doesn't understand it.
That gives me a 2/3 chance of going free. Worst case scenario, I win a goat.
Fenwick Lawson or John Virgo?
BBC News headline: MPs back plan to release Mandelson files after Labour anger forces climbdown. Accompanying picture: Peter Mandelson, a white man with grey hair, a suit and black framed glasses, next to Sir Keir Starmer, a white man with grey hair, a suit and black framed glasses, in a lavish old building with tiled flooring and orange marble pillars in the background.
What if Jeffrey Epstein is in the Mandelson files?
Well frunge!
I would like for this to exist.
Concept for an upside-down Beach Boys band:
The Snow boys only sing about snowboards, hot boys and being a cold-blooded American pedestrian.
I think about this lots. Children don't hesitate to sing, dance and draw. Adults might try doing one of those but give up when they don't immediately succeed greatly at it.
We could enjoy so many more activities and talents if we did them like children, as play, rather than obsessing over quality.
πΊπΈ Love and solidarity to all friends in the U.S. on general strike today. Abolish ICE isnβt just the mainstream position, it is the only moral one β€οΈ
You had me at Horsey.
I still think the first CD I ever owned (back when CDs were newfangled) is one of the best: Rhapsody in Blue, the Candide Overture, Rodeo and Fanfare for the Common Man.
When I was a child/teen I only liked to listen to classical music (plus sixties stuff my parents enjoyed).
I discovered almost all other genres at university because my housemates played good music with their doors open.
