I presented a study (w/ #GregoryPorumbescu & #AndreaHetling) on broadband adoption and time poverty in US. Using time diary data, we show that increased broadband reduces waiting time, especially for women. Structural inequities remain, broadband expansion should be paired with supportive policies

They show that laws form distinct clusters, revealing governance gaps, esp. where private vs. public sector responsibilities diverge
#VishalTrehan presented a study on digital capacity and equitable 311 service delivery. Using ~2 million NYC 311 data, he shows communities with stronger digital access and skills receive faster responses, with some evidence that representative bureaucracy can help reduce gaps.

Had a great #IRSPM2025 in Bologna! Had the opportunity to present 2 studies, one with #FedericaFusi on cyber-attacks vs local governments, and another with #GregPorumbescu & #AndreaHetling on broadband adoption and time poverty. More importantly, I reconnected with old friends and met new colleagues
