We've long been sloppy about this but it's worse that they've latched onto compulsively calling him "commander in chief" to describe functions, including conduct of foreign policy and decisions about war or peace, that are not part of president's role as the apex of the military chain of command.

USUALLY presidents getting blame or taking credit for gas prices (or local crime rates, or etc etc) is dumb, because it’s a commodity whose price is set on a global market, USUALLY for reasons having little to do with the White House’s occupant. But this is 100% directly Trump’s fault.
Every time a woman runs for president I hear that she’s too emotional and unstable to make wartime decisions, unlike the men in charge who make really reasonable decisions like bombing kids to death, starting water wars, and poisoning the entire planet
