In 2025, CRHLP and @ansirh.bsky.social submitted a letter to the FDA on behalf of more than 260 researchers to explain that recent reports on mife are not grounded in rigorous science or reliable data: law.ucla.edu/sites/defaul...
As the Senate holds a hearing today amplifying anti-science rhetoric about the safety of mifepristone, it’s critical to ground this conversation in evidence rather than misinformation.
Last year, with our colleagues at @uclarepropolicy.bsky.social we sent a letter to the FDA signed by over 200 scientists.
The short version? Medication abortion is safe. Time to drop the junk science and move on.
NEW: A majority of the North Dakota Supreme Court said the state's abortion ban was unconstitutional, but ND's rule requiring a 4-vote supermajority to strike down a law resulted in the originalist minority's view winning out. @uclarepropolicy.bsky.social's Diana Kasdan and Amanda Barrow explain:
We are excited to launch “History in Reproductive Rights Cases: A post-Dobbs Resource Hub”—a collection of legal resources showing how history can inform state constitutional cases to protect, rather than restrict, reproductive rights and gender justice.
