From their crazy snout to their HUGE dorsal, everything about the great hammerhead seems over exaggerated and even cartoon-like!

The photo shows a Cape giraffe (South African giraffe) stretched down and drinking water. With its long neck, it must widen its legs and lower its head in an uncomfortable-looking manner. They are very vulnerable when they take a drink!

Giraffe are most vulnerable when they take a drink. I had the honor of seeing this up close - in a hide at Zimanga Private Game Reserve in South Africa (June 2024). What a stunning creature!

The white rhino was poached almost into extinction but #soliogamereserve, w/highly successful breeding program, has helped 2restart many game reserves throughout Africa. I was fortunate 2spend time there in June. What a phenomenal reserve w/stunning lodges & incredible guides!

Yes, we’re ok. Thank you. Sadly, there were two deaths from trees falling on houses. TBH, I’m surprised (but glad) most huge trees missed.

And wow, those images are crazy. I hope it was only surface damage?

Mother Nature is so powerful; I fear we’re only going to see more wrt Climate Change. 🥲

The bomb cyclone and crazy winds in the PNW really created a lot of debris, downed power lines and downed trees in our little neighborhood. It’s the worst I’ve seen here in my 30+ years!
