What does Hatsune Miku mean to me? Community. In this past year, I've started regularly donating to my local community in various ways. It's the least I could do in these troubling times.

Feels nice to see that I've grown as an artist. I had some art planned for Miku Day but I've been busy until today. I figure I'm not gonna make it in time, I need at least a few days.

But in just a few hours today, I already sketched, linearted, and base colored my drawing.

画家としては成長した、よかった。もうすぐミクの日ので絵を描きたかったですが今日まで忙しかった。間に合わない、少なくとも数日間は必要だと思ってた。でも今日は数時間で下書き、線画、そして下塗りまで描きました。

Anyway, I'm having fun designing my Snow Miku entry. It's been a process, I'm just constantly sketching, trying out ideas, discarding and altering them. It's probably the longest I've taken to grow a single design and the process itself has been quite fun.

In an effort to draw more regularly, I bought sketchbooks that I started taking everywhere so I'm not bound to my desktop. I switched to digital a long time ago because I didn't want to waste paper, but ykw, that's the whole point of sketching: to use up the sketchbook.

Miku Expo in less than 2 months. I need to start working on some giveaway art.

Snow Miku 2026 coasters given as bonuses during the collaboration with certain local shops and restaurants. This photo shows all the coasters I received laid out on display. I received 3 Mikus, 1 Meiko, 2 Kaitos, and a whopping 5 Lens.

Seeing Snow Miku 2026 "Patisserie-chan" "Good morning, Patisserie-chan" She turns back at you, "Good morning!" "What's for breakfast today? Donuts? Pancakes?

She faces you and raises a finger up while the other hand is at her hip. "Oh, about that... Senpai says you've been eating too many carbs lately, so I have to put you on a diet!" An inset shows that she is referring to Snow Miku 2024. "Oh, no..."

"So today, I made you a nice balanced breakfast!" "Oh♡" Patisserie-chan beams as she holds out a tray filled with Japanese-style breakfast items including: tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), a small bowl of salad, a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of rice, a plate of salmon, and a small plate of various fruits.

行ってくる前に描きました。

Snow Miku 2012 "Fuwako" lazily sitting backwards in a chair. Snow Miku 2018 "Tanchou" approaches her with a document in hand. She says "Umm... Senpai. About the script..." Fuwako looks up at her. "Hm?" Tanchou: "It says we have to fight." Fuwako: "Yeah, I know" Tanchou "But it happens offscreen so..." Fuwako sits up. "Ah, you wanted to spar with me, right? It's okay, we'll fight for real." Tanchou smiles. "Thanks!" Fuwako leans back down again, putting her hands together on the back of the chair and resting her head on top. "Since you wanted to see me fight, I'm not gonna hold back. You better prepare yourself." Tanchou: "I will!"

Fuwako sitting at a low table, slumped forward with her head resting on the surface. She has a neutral expression. Snow Miku 2014 "Namara" behind her, leaning on top and hugging her from behind. She is smiling widely. "Fuwako-chan!" Fuwako: "Hm?" Namara: "It's almost game time!" Fuwako: "Hm" Namara: "Are you excited?" Fuwako: "Hm" Namara: "Me too!" Fuwako (softly): "Hm"

My Snow Mikus all get along with each other.

Incidentally, I finally released download versions of my Snow Miku fangame after making some edits. Notably:

この数月間、絵を描くのやる気が出なかったし、仕事も忙しくなったし、「まぁ、しばらく描くことを休もう。。。」っと思った。今年は活動を再開してように頑張ります。

Haven't been able to find the motivation to draw in the past few months, plus work got busy so I more or less decided I was in vacay mode. Hopefully I can get back to drawing regularly this year.

The ribbon is blending with the pants and isn't attached to the bikini slip at all. A legit artist does not make simple mistakes like these, even beginners don't.

Looks to be that they trace over AI and present is as their own work. This is extremely disappointing..

You enter a dark room. The smell of sweet fried dough is in the air. There is a source of light coming from a small shrine placed against the wall. Two electric candles slowly draw up the chemical energy stored in the cells at their base, one producing an orange glow while the other yellow. Between them, the offerings: a plate of four doughnuts arranged in a grid, the frosting each alternating between orange and yellow. Before the plate are the figures to which the offerings have been made. Two twin pieces of acrylic, standing on their own, so small that they are dwarfed by the offerings in front of them. An additional, slightly larger figure stands on the left, yet none on the right. It must have been from a gacha pull. The figures all face the offerings with expressions of excited anticipation, their hands posed in claws as if ready to snatch and devour the goods so readily placed before them.
