The wyt conservative women's second reason for voting Trump: racism.

Their third reason: religious fundamentalism.

All of which are rooted in capitalism, too.

Not sure you can separate out any one underlying reason for any of the cognitive dissonant voters out there. It seems a combination.

There was a peer-reviewed study of a subset of wyt women conservative voters after the 2016 election, to determine their reasons for voting for Trump, despite him being a misogynist (re: has a history of sexual violence-rhetorical AND physical-towards women). It came down to internalized misogyny.

Both are equally responsible for where we are. Disengagement/disenfranchisement with the voting establishment was a direct result of voter suppression in some cases, but not all. In some cases, it was also disgust with political corruption overall and a lack of messaging that resonated with voters.

Mitigating biases is impossible, even when you sterilize the data down to numbers, because those numbers are still subjective to a bell-curve of 'normalcy' that is established by the one writing the algorithm. A baseline/benchmark for determining the + or - is still determined by a flawed human.

I'm a trained scientist. This is impossible to do. People are not cold machines. Every outcome is framed through our personal experiences, desires, and beliefs.
