Three of my students have been arguing nonstop for weeks. Just constantly instigating stuff with the others.

I just fussed at them. I said “it’s 9:45 and I’ve already had enough today”

One kid looks at me and goes “it’s only 9:44”

One of my students told me that I looked very pretty today.

I said, “thank you, but you know, I think I look pretty every day.”

And she stared at me for a moment and then said, “Well…. maybe not every day.”

I want to know the rules so I can either follow them or willingly break them.

I told them I would like an answer before my trip and this guy straight up said "if you have to take it out of your baggage and you aren't happy, I suggest you reach back out for a refund for your flight"

like... WHAT?

Now they are straight up admitting they don't know whether or not I'm correct and they're asking me to "just try it and see what happens"

Like, what? bro.

I usually use reddit if I need an answer to stuff that I can't find easily through google.

They have you go through an automated system (that states the same policy) and so I asked to speak to an agent.

The agent said that the policy was outdated and we weren't allowed to carry it on. "Thank you for letting me know that the policy needs to be updated"

I asked for the current policy.

But imagine my not-surprise when I looked and their policy said that I was right.

So, I looked it up again today for my trip next week. As I suspected, their policy still states that it can go into your checked bag as long as you meet safety requirements.

I reached out to customer support.

Last year, I flew to Florida via Delta and had my laptop powered off and in a shock-proof case inside of my checked bag. The baggage drop person told me I was wrong and Delta policy said I had to remove it from my checked bag and carry it on.

So I carried the thing around.
