it has less to do with the fact she enjoys cute pokemon and more to do with the fact that she is athletic, outspoken and brash. even when you interrupt her date in the game, instead of bashfully shooing you off or acting coy, she gets combative. in traditional japanese culture, she's def a tomboy.
