I appreciate Barnes' ability to handle the pitching staff and bunt, but fans thinking Kershaw was unaware is naive. He was likely getting to know Rushing very well during his rehab. Barnes was a good locker room guy, but the bottom of the lineup is anemic.
The Dodgers selected the contract of catcher Dalton Rushing and designated catcher Austin Barnes for assignment.
It’s official. Austin Barnes has been DFA’d. Great clubhouse presence and I’m sure he will be missed in the locker room. Dalton Rushing will now be with the #Dodgers and hopefully will bring more offense to the team.
