The 10 and 16-series cards are not in great shape as this latest security driver and Game Ready drivers for 20-series and higher has shown that Nvidia truly is vibe coding their drivers so much more now.

If you’re playing older titles, stick with whatever drivers work. Newer titles, no chance.

PSA: if Nvidia is truly launching a 5050 with 9GB of VRAM and/or reintroducing the 3060 8GB, do not use those as upgrades from like a 10 or 16-series card. Unless they’re priced at $250 or lower, they’re not worth the update.

A lot of the time the B580 performs a lot better.

Yeah at that price you’d be hard pressed to find a decent gaming capable laptop though. The Steam Deck itself though is the better option considering it is slightly cheaper and don’t have to worry about Windows, heh.

The Legion Go is also 650g so it’s not light to hold for a while.
