I think Dominic Pacyga debunked it in his book but it's no longer in front of me.
May 13, 1977 Supertramp John Wilward, Chicago Sun-Times, May 15, 1977: As flecks of plaster dropped from the ceiling of the Uptown Theater Friday night and I noticed that each bass note was surprisingly distinct, it was clear that Supertramp hadn't lost the touch . . . When it performs an unburdened catchy rocker . . . Supertramp reveals that it has a highly entertaining pop sense that can transcend its occasionally cloying pretensions.
"As flecks of plaster dropped from the ceiling" . . . Having read the book and seen Robert and Andy talk about it, yeah, I'm there.
The reviews are EVERYTHING
Another great video to share on Chicago's incorporation anniversary! Who is more Chicago than Dominic Pacyga? Worked at the stock yards and his latest just fills our Chicago politics loving soul. Dual slide view blamed on the guy below.

Home Building Association from the Richard Nickel Archive at AIC. Although the photo is undated, the reflection of the boxy car makes me give a stab at the late 60s/early 70s (aided by Nickel's death date). The blues in the mosaic can't be beat! A challenge to do you justice both with the image and with the alt-text but happy belated!

Very impressed with the work of @chicagocovenants.bsky.social Been there as a volunteer (not enough, unfortunately) and finding restrictive covenants is both depressing and satisfying in the way that unearthing history and bringing it to light is satisfying

It's so tempting to blame him! Apparently using Zoom for 5+ years doesn't equal facility . . .

We had the BEST time listening to Dominic A. Pacyga discussing his book Clout City yesterday in which RJD figures heavily. When we share the recording, weβre blaming technical issues on the coworker.
Looking back with nostalgia on that announcement when Chicago got to be distracted by all this by one of ours becoming Pope!
