Yep, basically that. Me trying to map the errors back to the code was a frustrating experience. Once it all broke for the fourth time I used it as an excuse to stop using Lambdas.
I'll revisit it again with eyes wide open at some point.
Now helping a team at work deploy Azure functions so...
AI maximalists with little coding experience may not realise that code is hardly ever one-and-done
Another example is I've been using AI for terraform. At "some point in the future" me not understanding enough about how to structure it for flexibility later is REALLY going to bit me in the arse.
I was putting events onto and pulling events off queues. No single view of where things failed and challenges understanding enough detail as to why a particular lambda failed even.
At some point I've found you at least need to understand the code... Rust is interesting for AI because it's immediately apparent what's not correct BUT when you need to change it later and don't understand it... You're pretty screwed at that point.
I've certainly been thinking about it from this point of view recently ๐
I keep thinking I should get back into gaming as a way to turn off and relax but every time I try I really find myself rebelling against the idea. It feels pointless and after 10 minutes I stop and go back to learning or creating something. I'm finding this behaviour quite odd personally.

Oh ๐ฑ no... What could possibly go wrong...
That's completely awesome ๐
So 2026 is basically going to have to be the year I properly learn Rust ๐ฆ Wish me luck.
How To Lead by Jo Owen - genuinely excellent. I've read it a few times and gifted copies to people amzn.eu/d/gUGsM0b
Still, 'tis a noble goal ๐๐ป๐ฌ
Appears that attempting to stand still isn't an option. Looks like it's time for Rob 2.0 and all the work that entails.
Great choice ๐๐
Debugging AWS Lambda failures is an awful experience... It's probably something I am doing wrong with my setup but still... Time to go read some documentation and find a way to do it better.
This is the way.

Terraform is DevOps in a trenchcoat crammed with failed deployments and broken dreams.
Praying for PowerShell support built in as opposed to the plugin someone created that, cough... doesn't work
Frankly that's hilarious ๐คฃ
TLDR
Try using System Initiative instead. You'll thank me later.
What he said...
It's surprising especially since people really do make choices about what to use/program in based on things like this.
Duuuuude. I am jealous, horrified and amazed. I have had to promise myself not to buy more programming books. It's a problem ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I think the problem I am starting to experience with AI coding is that when it comes to changing something it takes far longer.
Since I reckon it takes about 2 rewrites to produce something production hardened, this is a bit of an issue.
