Oh yeah, it is great today. But the upcoming storm feels like a cruel joke given that the ice that was here for 4 weeks JUST melted.

+1. Yesterday was literally the first day that enough of the snow from last month's storm had melted that you could see the grass.

Up a little early wrapping homemade apple cider caramels to bring into my office. Clearly I love the people I work with!

Found another one from Philly. I distinctly remember taking this picture because during this walk I passed by a couple and I heard the woman yell "Oh . Hell. Yes." while pointing at Maple.

Back when we had 5 dogs in Philly, putting on 20 booties to go outside was vvery time-consuming (but worth it for multiple reasons)

1) Unless you disagree with all of them. 2) You mean disagree with rejections and give an r&r, right? 3) right?

Absolutely! I feel it as a referee when I get to see the other reports. Depending on my recommendation, I always worry that 1) I am being stupid and missing the valuable contribution, or 2) I am being stupid and missing the fatal flaw.

It feels so good when the other reports say the same thing.

1) Definitely

2) There is a Rorschach Test here in whether this is interpreted as you giving R&R/Accept or a Reject.

I was listening to this part of the podcast on a crowded train this morning, and I couldn't hold it together. Openly laughing and probably looking like a crazy person.

Oh wait, I mean the exact polar opposite of that.

๐Ÿ’ฏ I remember it running frequently on one of the old cable networks (maybe UPN?) in the mid/late 90's. I watched it many times.

Baccalaureate remarks by Chair Powell at the Princeton University Baccalaureate Ceremony Thank you, President Eisgruber, for the opportunity to speak here today. Congratulations to the Princeton University class of 2025 on the tremendous achievemen

"The combination of luck, the courage to make mistakes, and a little initiative can lead to much success. But know this: the world needs more from you than personal achievements and individual success. I strongly urge you to find time in your careers for public service." -Chair Powell

New study: The relative wage premium for going to college has halved for low-income Americans since 1960.

What is to blame? Rising selectivity? Tuition hikes? State disinvestment? We decompose changes in the premium since 1900 to find out.
