A comic from 2017, which I promise seemed more original at the time, though I might have once imagined it wouldn't be as relevant for quite this long. One of among maybe three or four wordless one panel comics I made in 18 years of political cartooning.

For sure. My friend circle was obsessed with the movie. But he still creates an angry-man-cult through his alternate personality over a girl. Not a good roadmap. Real struggle for people because Tyler Durden *made some good points*

I also had to punch a friend in the face at a party who insisted he needed it to FEEL SOMETHING and I agreed on the grounds this was just a one-and-done punch thing. There was a lot of this happening between 17 year old boys at the time!

Even in high school I thought the very clear message of Fight Club was not to let our vapid over-consumptive culture lead you to become a mindless "space monkey" led by the nihilistic dark Id of a depressed loser, for it is a similar path.

I mean, the reporting refuses to even assert the changes come from the obvious threat to seize their company one day prior, so it's all view-from-nowhere writing. These are the issues on the table though--the ultimate stated goal for the tech and source of their conflict.

They could refuse on the basis of their declared principles and force an unprecedented seizure of their company--or they can accept the $200 million to commit evil. They were given the ultimatum and seem to have chosen.
