The one thing that we can agree upon as sports fans ββ reveling in the misery of New York sports franchises.
Just so that weβre clear, disposing of the homeless via involuntary lethal injection runs fundamentally counter to the teachings of Christ. The two cannot be reconciled. I wouldnβt think that needs to be said, but apparently it does.

Handcopy of UET 5, 471.
From the Ea-nΔαΉ£ir archive:
UET 5, 471 is a list of silver amounts regarding entry into Dilmun, an escort fee, and associated costs / rates for oil, barley, a slave and her child, milk and textiles. The milk belonged to Atta, the textiles to Sin-mude, two other merchants.
I am very stoked to announce that a book authored by myself and my frequent co-author ββ Tyler Kelley ββ has been accepted for publication. *A Student's Vocabulary of Assyrian Royal Inscriptions* will be coming out through Eisenbrauns in late 2025/early 2026. (Cover not real).

The Book of Esther is the subject matter for tomorrow's class. Feels oddly pertinent.
Ugaritic tablet with cylinder seal relief.
We created cuneiform tablets in class this week. A very enterprising student decided it would be fun to 3D print a cylinder seal in preparation for the activity.
We are officially coming off of X and focusing our efforts on fostering our archaeology community here!
Please share our account around so that we can find our people! We look forward to meeting you all!πΊ

Love this (and the book)!
My map of the world is printing as we speak!
A fun aspect of teaching at a STEM-oriented University: free 3D printing. Very excited to print out some fun tablets, cylinder seals, and other antiquities to show my classes! Today, they met Humbaba himself. #assyriology
We're working through Gilgamesh VII-IX today in my classes. Easily my favorite potion of the book. And I will say, this portion of the text hits for undergrads harder than anything else in my experience.
