It is and once I found out who did this I’m pressing charges. This shit has my blood boiling and this isn’t a time to fuck with me.
Even more crazy, door was open when I got there. I showed up an hour after he was reported dead.
So someone showed up, grabbed specific items, then left. That’s been one of the many things I’ve had to deal with this week.
We have our suspicions of who did this and thats been reported to the cop.
I’m the only family member with a key, and his current caretaker didn’t do it since she’s helping me find the person as well.
That only leaves former caretakers left who somehow found out he died. This is so fucked.
Cop and caretaker locked the house, but it was unlocked an hour later. Not having his legal documentation is making it difficult to get everything closed.
It also means I don’t know if he had a will or life insurance. This sucks.

This week has been so stressful. On top of setting up a funeral and getting my dad’s house cleaned out, I also have to find out who stole his wallet and bank bag that contained all his legal documentation.
Yes someone stole from him right after he died. 😡

Both are younger, and honestly he did more for them than he did me because I was independent at a young age.
The middle brother was always a trouble maker and the youngest followed him, so it’s disappointing but not surprising.

Sadly it’s nothing new. My brothers never seemed to care even when he was alive, so I was always the one taking care of him.
There’s a reason I don’t talk to them. Our personalities are polar opposites and they’re selfish. The only thing we have in common is our last name.
My dad had his flaws. He was a drunk (thankfully not a violent one) and never took care of himself. But he was a good man who sacrificed so much for us. He put up with my abusive mom just to give us the best life he could give.
A flawed man that tried is worth honoring. I hate they can’t see that.

This morning I found out my dad passed away. I knew this was going to happen sooner rather than later due to his poor health, but it still hurts that the day is here.
I’m sad he’s gone, but I’m also thankful he no longer has to suffer.
